CAL

I was born in Florida. I have lived in California for 15 years. I’ve rented a room here. My mother was in California, she was born here, in San Francisco. And my grand mother was born in San Francisco. I still have family here, in the North, on the side of Sacramento: two brothers, one is police officer, another one is accountant. I was a labor man, worked in construction... cutting woods, in Connecticut, in California. During the war in Vietnam, I was against the war. Vietnam war was a real threat. People went there and did not come back, they died there. I also was against the war in Palestine. What I did, otherwise,? I’ve smoked some herb (joking).

M-am născut în Florida. Am locuit în California 15 ani. Am închiriat o cameră aici. Mama mea era din California, ea s-a născut aici, în San Francisco. Şi bunica a trăit în San Francisco. Şi acum am familie aici, în nord, înspre Sacramento: doi fraţi, unul e poliţist, altul e contabil. Am fost mult timp muncitor: am lucrat ca zidar în construcţie, la tăiat lemne, în Connecticut şi în California. În timpul războiului din Vietnam, cînd eram tînăr, am fost împotriva războiului. Oamenii se duceau acolo şi nu se mai întorceau. Războiul din Vietnam era o ameninţare reală. La fel, am fost împotriva războiului din Palestina. Ce am mai făcut în rest? Am fumat iarbă (pe un ton glumeţ).
